interior galore: luxury, minimal bedding

Apologies for the radio silence. I've been in the depths of finishing off our new A/W line, and also had a lovely but huge custom order finished in 24 hours! So it's all been go here.

This week's interior galore is looking at luxury, minimal bedding with a focus on comfiness. If you'd rather be in bed right now, maybe don't read this just yet. All the lovely images are going to make you want to run home and jump in. 

As my partner and I currently don't have a proper bed (don't ask! sounds dodgy I know, but it's not), I'm always dreaming of lovely, plush white sheets with a beautiful black and white textured blanket at the foot of the bed, accompanied with a mix of grey and white pillows. Falling into that after a hard day's work would be my idea of heaven!.

I also like the idea of having a bed frame with no headboard, so you can utilise as much wall space as possible to hang some lovely prints.

 I fully recommend clicking on that source link. The entire bedroom is gorgeous! The grey linen compliments the white walls and floors perfectly, and the hint of green from the house plants completes the naturalist look.

Wit & Delight x Parachute Bedding 

 Wit & Delight strike again with this gorgeous example of Parachute bedding. The geometric cushion adds some texture to the set, and I'm gutted that this gorgeous rug has sold out. I really, really want to jump in that bed.

Waking up in this bed on a rainy, gloomy morning would brighten up anyone's day. The strategic placement of frames on the black and white walls works so well, and that blanket is just what I'm looking for.

instagram round-up: july

1. A Hi to July. We had a lovely start to the month in business terms, with wholesale opportunities popping up, as well as a new site.

2. We managed to go to BST Hyde Park on Arcade Fire's day and it was unbelievable. I've only recently gotten into them after years of stubborn-ness (thought there was too much hype around them), but after Primavera I bought all their discography and have been listening non-stop. This day was superb, with perfect views and weather, and I didn't stop smiling for quite a while after! 

3. We've had an unusually hot and sticky summer here. This means the Birks are back in action and are killing my feet one blister at a time. I had to get the Topshop version as my feet are too thin for the real ones, and they don't take kindly to miles of walking unlike the others, so I'm having to go out guarded in pre-emptive plasters. They still look pretty though!

4. A snapshot from where I wrote that blog post that got a lot of interaction. 

5. Each year, these beautiful hydrangeas bloom outside the flat. There's a specific time around noon where the sun shines through the bushes and creates a beautiful light trail next to them. I'm forever running out and trying to capture it.

6. The day I fixed my printer and could continue with a massive wholesale order. To say the least, I was shouting 'YAY' all the way through packaging, after a horrible day spending lots of money trying to get it running again. Featuring our little Venus Fly Trap and our horrible, dark coffee table that doesn't help photos.

7. I got these postcards printed for our next craft show that was meant to be this Saturday but has been postponed due to Pride, so I'll let you know the new date nearer the time. 

8. The morning before I got my mop cut off. It's so nice not getting my hair caught in bags, umbrellas, anything that comes within a few inches of it. I'm still getting used to the shortness, but lovely Claire at Electric did such a good job! I'll show you all when I'm more comfortable with it/don't think I look like an 8 year old.

oh to be motivated 24/7 part one

I'm not sure about any of you lot, but I've been lacking in motivation the past few days. It may be because of the sticky heat, or just a case of being burnt out. Either way, I'm finding that I am having to resort to little tips and tricks to get me into my studio (or lets be honest, little corner in the bedroom) and back to the paper and ink. I thought it might be a good idea to share some with you in a new series.

1. Music

Forever the number one resort for me. As most creatives I know, music is my second love, and it has always been my little getaway when things get a bit icky, as well as a major part in my daily routine. I'll explain all that in a different post, but for now, here are a few songs that I've been recently been listening to in the mornings to get me in the business mood. 

I mostly listen to BBC 6 Music (surprise, surprise!) whilst I'm working as it gives me a chance to hear new things, and ensures I don't waste hours sifting through my records in a bid to find something to work to.

 I could go on and on, so I need to stop there for now!
